La Casa del Mestizo is a small dog shelter in Roma, CDMX. Silvia has spent decades rescuing dogs from the streets and hard situations. She has helped them find homes in Mexico and abroad.
She runs the shelter with only one staff member. To pay costs she sells handmade dog collars. But with health problems and little money, it is harder for her to continue.
